In order to advertise a post, you choose 'Promote' option on your own posts on your Timeline, Newsfeed, or Popular newsfeed. You will be navigated to the Advertisement manager where you can add all the necessary details to launch a campaign. Also, you can go directly to Advertisement section in the menu and choose a post to advertise.
